Choose an EV battery around the duty cycle—not voltage alone

A practical checklist for matching a battery to the vehicle, route, payload and charging routine.

Electric mobility on the road

Start with the work

Daily distance, payload, terrain, speed and stop-start operation define the energy and power the vehicle must repeatedly deliver.

A battery that fits the enclosure can still be unsuitable if controller demand or charging pattern is ignored.

Check the electrical interface

Confirm system voltage, continuous and peak current, charger behaviour, connector, communication and protection expectations.

Validate before selection

Treat catalogue filters as a shortlist. Final selection should follow a review of the actual vehicle and duty cycle.
